Representing a national cancer charity I have spoken to a wide ranging number of audiences from a handful to hundreds of people. The focus of these is usually to motivate audiences to push themselves beyond their everyday norms to undertake something altruistic to help others.
Additionally, I work for a large outdoor challenge events company who work with the charity sector to fund raise through predominantly treks and cycle events, both in the UK and overseas. With participants usually out of their comfort zones, I use the skills I have learnt to motivate them to achieve what they may have thought impossible.
There is the possibility of combining counselling with the outdoor environment, if this is seen as appropriate and beneficial.
